Health & Lifestyle Coaching

Root Cause Health Coach

Holistic Health Investigation & Lifestyle Transformation

Many people know something in their body isn’t right. They feel exhausted, inflamed, anxious, foggy, or unwell, yet their lab work often comes back “normal.”

Others are navigating complex diagnoses like autoimmune disease, thyroid issues, hormone imbalance, digestive disorders, metabolic dysfunction, or unexplained symptoms that no one has fully connected the dots on.

Many people are handed prescriptions, supplements, or protocols without ever truly understanding why their symptoms started in the first place.

My approach to health coaching is based on a simple principle:

Everything has a root cause.

Symptoms are rarely random. They are signals from the body that something in the system needs attention.

Through comprehensive lifestyle investigation, health history analysis, mindset work, and practical implementation, I help clients explore what may be contributing to their symptoms and create clear, sustainable strategies for improving their health.

This work combines functional health thinking, lifestyle medicine, mindset coaching, and nervous system regulation.

It is not about quick fixes.

It is about understanding how the body works and restoring balance step by step.

If you feel like something in your body isn’t right but you haven’t found clear answers, this work focuses on investigating root causes and rebuilding health from the foundations of lifestyle, nutrition, and nervous system balance.

Transform Your Life with Brandi Gordon

A Strategic Partner in Your Health Investigation

Many of my clients come to me after trying multiple approaches. They may have seen doctors, specialists, naturopaths, or other practitioners and still feel like they are missing a piece of the puzzle. Health information today can be overwhelming and often contradictory. One practitioner recommends one diet. Another recommends a completely different approach. Lab tests may show “normal” ranges while symptoms continue.

My role is not to replace your medical care. Instead, I act as a strategic partner in helping you investigate your health, understand your body, and implement meaningful lifestyle changes.

Together we examine the full picture:

• health history
• symptom patterns
• lifestyle habits
• nutrition
• stress levels
• sleep quality
• environmental exposures
• hormone health
• metabolic function
• nervous system regulation
• mindset patterns that influence behavior

This is ideal for people who are tired of surface-level answers and want a more strategic, whole-body approach to understanding their health.

This process allows us to ask the most important question in health investigation:

Why?

Why are these symptoms happening?

Why are they continuing?

Why hasn’t the current approach solved the issue yet?

Often, when the right questions are asked and the full context is examined, new solutions begin to appear.

Transform Your Life Today

The Root Cause Philosophy

At the core of my health coaching philosophy is the belief that symptoms are signals.

They are not random.

They are the body’s way of communicating that something in the system is out of balance.

Instead of suppressing symptoms alone, root cause investigation looks deeper.

We ask questions such as:

• What changed before the symptoms started?
• What patterns appear in lifestyle or environment?
• Are there nutritional deficiencies or imbalances?
• Is the nervous system stuck in chronic stress?
• Are toxins or environmental exposures contributing?
• Are hormone systems under strain?
• Are there underlying lifestyle patterns driving inflammation?

This approach is influenced by principles found in functional medicine, ancestral health philosophy, and natural health education; including teachings from educators such as Barbara O’Neill and other leaders exploring lifestyle-based health restoration.

The goal is not to chase symptoms.

The goal is to restore balance to the systems that support health.

Common Health Symptoms & Situations I Help Clients Investigate

While coaching does not diagnose or treat disease, many people seek this work because they feel stuck between symptoms and answers. They may have seen multiple practitioners, tried different diets or supplements, or received lab results that appear “normal” while their body continues to struggle.

Some of the most common situations clients come to me with include:

• autoimmune diagnoses such as Hashimoto’s, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, or MS
• chronic fatigue
• persistent digestive issues such as bloating, IBS, reflux, or food sensitivities
• inflammation
• metabolic issues including insulin resistance or blood sugar instability
• weight struggles and obesity
• thyroid imbalances
• PCOS and hormone irregularities
• perimenopause and menopause symptoms
• brain fog, cognitive fatigue, memory issues or lack of mental clarity
• chronic stress and burnout, anxiety, or nervous system dysregulation

• sleep disturbances
• food sensitivities and elimination diets
• skin conditions such as eczema, acne, or rashes

• joint pain and chronic inflammation
• persistent symptoms despite “normal” medical tests

For many people, the goal is not simply managing symptoms.

It is understanding why the body is reacting the way it is.

This is where root cause investigation becomes incredibly valuable.

Additional Information

Instead of assuming a single cause, we often examine multiple systems that influence health.

Some of the root causes we may investigate include:

Nutritional Deficiencies

Modern diets are often low in essential nutrients that support cellular health, hormone balance, and immune function.

Understanding nutrient density, mineral balance, and metabolic needs can be an important step toward restoring health.

Chronic Stress and Nervous System Dysregulation

The nervous system plays a major role in digestion, immune function, hormone balance, and emotional wellbeing.

Many people live in a constant state of stress response without realizing it.

Breathwork, meditation, and nervous system regulation practices can play a powerful role in restoring balance.

Hormonal Imbalances

Hormones influence nearly every function in the body including metabolism, mood, sleep, fertility, and energy levels.

Conditions such as thyroid dysfunction, PCOS, and perimenopause often require a broader lifestyle perspective in addition to medical support.

Environmental Toxins

Modern environments expose us to many substances that previous generations rarely encountered.

Household chemicals, air quality, water quality, plastics, heavy metals, and personal care products can all contribute to cumulative toxic load.

Understanding these exposures can help people reduce unnecessary stress on the body.

Gut Health and Digestion

The digestive system influences nutrient absorption, immune function, inflammation levels, and even mental health.

Issues such as food sensitivities, microbiome imbalance, and digestive dysfunction can play a role in many symptoms.

Blood Sugar and Metabolic Health

Blood sugar instability can contribute to fatigue, weight gain, mood swings, and inflammation.

Stabilizing metabolic health often creates noticeable improvements in energy and mental clarity.

Lifestyle and Circadian Rhythm

Human biology evolved in natural rhythms of light, movement, rest, and seasonal variation.

Modern lifestyles often disrupt these rhythms.

Sunlight exposure, sleep timing, movement patterns, and time outdoors can significantly influence overall health.

Health transformation is rarely just about information.

Most people already know many of the things they “should” be doing.

The real challenge is implementation.

This is where mindset work and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) can play a powerful role.

Clients often struggle with:

• consistency
• emotional eating
• lack of motivation
• identity patterns around weight or illness
• self-sabotage
• overwhelm when trying to change habits

Mindset coaching helps people understand the beliefs and decision patterns that influence their behavior.

When identity shifts, lifestyle change becomes far more sustainable.

Modern life places enormous stress on the human body.

Many health challenges are influenced by a combination of lifestyle factors rather than a single cause.

During coaching we may explore areas such as:

Nutrition Quality

Food is one of the most powerful influences on metabolic health.

We may explore dietary patterns, elimination protocols, nutrient density, and personalized nutrition strategies based on how your body responds.

Nervous System & Stress

Chronic stress can influence hormones, digestion, inflammation, sleep, and immune function.

Tools such as breathwork, mindfulness practices, and nervous system regulation can play an important role in recovery and resilience.

Sleep & Recovery

Sleep is one of the most powerful regulators of health.

Poor sleep can influence hormones, blood sugar, weight regulation, inflammation, and cognitive function.

Environmental Toxins

Modern environments contain many exposures that previous generations did not experience.

Air quality, water quality, household chemicals, personal care products, and environmental toxins may all play a role in long-term health.

Movement & Physical Activity

Human bodies are designed to move.

Exercise, strength training, mobility, and time outdoors are essential components of long-term health.

Hydration & Mineral Balance

Hydration and electrolyte balance influence nearly every system in the body including circulation, brain function, and cellular health.

Sunlight, Grounding & Natural Rhythms

Exposure to natural light, time outdoors, and circadian rhythm alignment can significantly influence energy, sleep quality, and metabolic health.

Many people receive lab results but never fully understand what they mean.

While I do not diagnose medical conditions, I often help clients:

• understand common health markers
• recognize patterns in their results
• prepare better questions for their doctor or practitioner
• track symptoms alongside lifestyle changes

This collaborative approach helps people become more informed participants in their own healthcare journey.

Many people believe their health challenges are purely genetic.

While genetics can influence susceptibility to certain conditions, lifestyle factors often determine how those genes are expressed.

Areas such as methylation pathways, nutrient status, stress levels, diet, sleep, and environmental exposures can influence how the body functions.

Understanding this relationship can empower people to make changes that support their health even when genetic predispositions exist.

One of the most valuable parts of health coaching is accountability.

During our work together we may track:

• symptoms
• lifestyle changes
• diet experiments
• sleep patterns
• exercise routines
• stress levels

Health transformation rarely happens through a single intervention.

It usually happens through consistent small changes over time.

Having someone help you stay accountable and interpret the results can make a significant difference.

For many clients the journey begins with investigation.

Once symptoms begin to improve and lifestyle foundations are stable, the focus often shifts toward optimization.

This may include:

• improving energy levels
• optimizing metabolic health
• refining nutrition
• building strength and resilience
• improving mental clarity
• supporting longevity and healthy aging

One of the most important things I emphasize with clients is that health is highly individual.

What works for one person may not work for another.

The goal of coaching is not to force a universal solution.

It is to help each person understand how their body responds to different lifestyle factors and develop strategies that support their unique biology and circumstances.

While every person’s health journey is unique, most successful transformations involve returning to foundational habits that support the body’s natural ability to heal.

These foundations often include:

Nutrient-Dense Nutrition

Understanding how food supports metabolic function, hormone balance, and energy production.

We may explore elimination diets, food sensitivity testing, or dietary approaches that help identify what works best for your body.

Nervous System Regulation

Stress is one of the most overlooked contributors to chronic health problems.

Breathwork, meditation, sound healing, and nervous system awareness practices can help shift the body from survival mode into recovery mode.

Movement and Physical Strength

Regular movement and resistance training support metabolic health, circulation, hormone balance, and mental wellbeing.

Movement is medicine for both the body and the mind.

Sleep and Recovery

Sleep is one of the most powerful biological repair processes.

Optimizing sleep habits and circadian rhythms can dramatically improve many health symptoms.

Hydration and Mineral Balance

Hydration and electrolyte balance influence energy production, cellular function, and nervous system regulation.

Time in Nature

Sunlight exposure, grounding, and time outdoors support circadian rhythm, vitamin D production, and overall wellbeing.

These practices may seem simple, but they are often the missing foundation beneath more complex health interventions.

My approach to health and lifestyle coaching is influenced by a wide range of teachings and disciplines including:

• lifestyle medicine
• functional health principles
• ancestral health philosophies
• metabolic health research
• nervous system science
• mindset and behavioral psychology

Influences that have shaped my thinking include educators and researchers such as:

• Barbara O’Neill
• Paul Saladino
• Gary Brecka
• Andrew Huberman
• Dr. Anthony Chaffee
• Sean Baker

as well as many practitioners and researchers exploring root cause health, metabolic function, and lifestyle medicine.

I also integrate insights from my training in:

• NLP and mindset coaching
• hypnotherapy and subconscious work
• breathwork and nervous system regulation
• holistic nutrition and lifestyle optimization

The combination of these disciplines allows for a more complete view of human health.

Rather than guessing blindly, we often run structured lifestyle experiments to see how your body responds.

Examples might include:

• elimination diets
• sleep optimization protocols
• stress reduction practices
• breathwork routines
• sunlight exposure and circadian rhythm adjustments
• supplement trials
• hydration and mineral adjustments
• exercise and movement changes
• environmental toxin reduction

By observing how symptoms change over time, we begin identifying what truly supports your body.

My Personal Experience With Health Transformation

My passion for this work is deeply personal.

At one point in my life I faced a long list of health challenges including autoimmune symptoms, digestive issues, hormone imbalances, inflammation, anxiety, and severe fatigue.

At my worst, I was on more than a dozen medications and often struggled to function normally.

Through a combination of lifestyle changes, nutrition adjustments, nervous system work, and mindset shifts, my health began to improve dramatically.

Over time I was able to come off medications and rebuild my health in ways I once thought were impossible. This experience changed the direction of my life and led me to study health, nutrition, mindset, and lifestyle optimization extensively.

Today I share what I have learned with others who want to take an active role in improving their health.

Important Disclaimer

Health coaching is educational and lifestyle-focused.

It does not replace medical care, diagnosis, or treatment from licensed healthcare professionals.

I often encourage clients to work collaboratively with their physicians, specialists, or other practitioners when appropriate.

If You Feel Like Something Is Missing

If you have been struggling with persistent symptoms, confusing health information, or feeling like you are not getting clear answers about your health, this type of work may be helpful.

You do not have to figure everything out alone.

Sometimes having someone who can step back, look at the full picture, and help guide the process makes all the difference.

If you’ve been searching for answers, clarity, or a new perspective on your health, this may be the place to begin. Start with a conversation. During a discovery call we can discuss:

• what symptoms or challenges you’re experiencing
